A Couple Months In Flowers

First, I would like to thank all of my new followers.  I appreciate you interest in what I do! I would also like to thank all of you that took the time to leave such wonderful and flattering comments! Thank you!!!
Today’s cards use stamps from Flourishes’ A Year In Flowers sets. I used color pencils and odorless mineral spirits to color the images. These were kind of my testers so now I am making a set of using all twelve stamps. I have eight done. I used an EK Success border punch on the bottom edge of the cards.

Fall Blessings

Here is another card I made using WMS ultimate fall set Peace and Plenty. You can see previous cards I made with this set here. I colored the images with colored pencils and a Copic blender pen. I think I have almost convinced myself it is time to give up the paper “stumps” and odorless mineral spirits.

‘Tis the Bountiful Season

If there is one fall-themed set to get, it would have to be WMS Peace and Plenty. I love, love, love this set. Normally, when I am stamping I think, “I wish this set had included a ‘whatever’ stamp.” Note: this doesn’t happen much with WMS because of all the stamps you get in a WMS set. Even if I tried I don’t think I could think of an addition. This set had it all. Plus, all of the images work so well together and with Blessed by You. I used colored pencils and a Copic blender pen to color the images. Who wudda thunk!

Leaf Prints Trio

For these three cards, I used PTI’s Leaf Prints, Vintage Labels and Falling Leaves. I used a Kaleidacolor ink pad appropriately named “Autumn Leaves.”

How ‘Bout Another Cup of Tea?

Today I am showing a couple of cards featuring PTI’s Tea Time and Tea Time Additions. I also used PTI’s Faux Ribbon, Beautiful Blooms, Silent Night, Polka Dot Basics, Borders & Corners {square}, and With Sympathy.

Another Bouquet

I am working on cleaning out the photo archives. Today’s cards feature PTI’s Spiral Bouquet stamp set. It was one of the first sets I bought from PTI and it’s addicting; once I start stamping with it, I just keep going and going! The small circle stamp is from another PTI set; sorry to say, I can’t remember exactly which one. I made these cards around the same time period as the cards from yesterday’s post (about two years ago when I had just discovered PTI). I believe I used a combination of PTI and Stampin’ Up! inks. The ribbon is from PTI.

Keep you face to the sun and don’t forget to take time to smell the flowers… before they are buried under drifts of snow!

Midnight Pantry Raid

I thought long and hard about whether to fill these bags with candy. Because there is 1 1/2 months until Halloween and there would be only me and the candy in the house, I opted against it. I hope to take more photos of the “real thing” closer to Halloween. I used Waltzingmouse Stamps. The WMS sets I used are Wanda’s Pantry, Midnight Feast, Halloween Party,  and Off Beat Backgrounds.  First, I stamped the images in lighter shades of Memento dye inks. I went back over with the same images using a slightly darker ink and off set the image just a bit. This gives it a tone-on-tone shadow effect. Next, I stamped the sentiments in black and then filled in with more images stamped in black. I used PTI’s True Black because, as its name states, it is the truest black that gave the best coverage on this particular project. I am currently working on some boyish-type treat bags, which hopefully I will have finished up and posted soon.

Spiral Bouquet

Here are two related sets of cards that I made using PTI’s Spiral Bouquet, Faux Ribbon and Polka Dot Basics. The cards are 5 1/4 x 5 1/4. The ink is Stampin’ Up! I made these cards approximately two years ago and never got around to photographing them until recently, because I gave the cards away!

Awesome!

Ever since I saw the tribal images in the WMS Free Spirit – Boy set, I wanted to stamp them in a gradated ink combo to look like flames. From there this card took on a life of its own. I also used WMS Celtic Heritage and Irish Blessings. I can’t remember which WMS set the small star came from. You can’t see it in the picture but I colored in the stars and skateboard dudes with a Spica glitter pen for some low-key sparkle.

On Your Wedding Day

I was playing around with the WMS Celtic Heritage stamp set and here is what I came up with. I also used a stamp from Irish Blessings. To add some depth and interest to the thistle, I used a couple of Toner (T) Copic markers.
