Happy St. Pat’s to My Blog Hopping Buddies!

Top o’ the evenin’ to ya! I will be hopping right after I finish my fitting dinner of corned beef, cabbage, and soda bread! The card I made for the hop is entitled “Irish Toile.” Of course, it had to be green for St. Patrick’s Day but I am anxious to color the image in monochromatic schemes of blue, red, and brown. I am a bit obsessed with Toile. I have it in nearly every room of my house.

The sets I used are  Waltzingmouse Stamps Celtic Heritage and Irish Blessings.  I cut the shapes out with my Cricut. I know the shape on the front is from A Child’s Year but I can’t remember at the moment which cartridge the inside shape came from. I cut a lot of shapes out all at once and then I lose track of the cartridges they come from. Ink, paper, and envelope are all PTI.

Thanks for hoppin’ by this fine evening! Cheers!

Baby Bee

I’m not sure if I mentioned this already but I don’t know anyone who is having a baby, yet I can’t stop making baby cards. Good thing a few people I know know women who are having babies.

I used my Cricut to cut the shapes for this card . I am pretty sure the cartridge is A Child’s Year. When in doubt, my go to cartridge is A Child’s Year. All supplies, except the crochet thread & colored pencils, are from PTI. Stamps sets are PTI’s Baby Button Bits, Polka Dot Basics II, and Background Basics: Text Style.

I stamped an extra set of the bee’s wings, cut them out, and propped them up with foam tape for added dimension.

Irish Blessings

The first card is a wedding card, probably a bit non-traditional but I like it. I thought it might well suited for a groom’s dinner. My inspiration came from this card of Claire’s. I just love this image. The stamp sets I used are Waltzingmouse Stamps Irish Blessings, Celtic Heritage and Off Beat Backgrounds.  The inside says “Congratulations on your wedding day.” I used colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits. The border punch is by EK Success. I stamped the grid background from Off beat Backgrounds in PTI’s Spring Moss on PTI’s Spring Moss twill ribbon, waited for it to dry and then distressed it a bit with PTI’s Chamomile & Chai tea dye inks.

Irish Blessing

My next card is a “welcome to the neighborhood” card. I was trying to capture the pinkish-golden glow of a summer sunset. The stamp set I used is WMS Irish Blessings. I used my Cricut to cut out the card’s window. PTI’s Tea Dye Duo was used to distress the card and give it a vintage, rustic feel.

Thousand Welcomes

Top o’ the mornin’ to ya and enjoy your day!

Just Ducky – Part II

This is the final card in my “Just Ducky” trilogy. I came up with the idea just about a year ago and the card laid around half-finished. I have tons of half-finished cards. PTI’s “Inside & Out: Baby” came out just in time to provide the perfect sentiment for my card. All supplies are PTI. The other stamps sets I used are PTI’s Mixed Messages, Polka Dot Basics and Bitty Baby Blessings. Paper is PTI’s 2008 Bitty Dot Basics, SS White, Aqua Mist, and Lemon Tart. I colored white crochet thread with a Copic marker to match the Aqua Mist twill ribbon.

Sweet L’il Buddies

Today’s cards feature Claire’s cute l’il buddies. I love these l’il critters and can hardly wait to stamp them on some Onesies! I used colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits.
Waltzingmouse Stamps: L’il Buddies, Off Beat Backgrounds; PTI: Polka Dot Basics II, Tiny Treats: Valentine, Forest Friends.

Feeling really proud of myself because I actually stamped envelopes and the insides of the cards! Doesn’t usually happen all at once for me; I tend to do it in stages.
