Let’s Do Two for Tea

Today’s set was inspired by Lauren Meader’s post. Don’t look at the date of her post or you’ll figure out just how long it took me to finish this.  I completed the Let’s Do lunch template right away and also stamped the background paper but for the life of me I couldn’t come up with a layout for the cards. Well, inspiration struck this past weekend and now the project is finally complete. Sort of. I want to put some glossy accent type of stuff on the larger flower centers but I never have good luck with the stuff. No mater what I try  it is always full of air bubbles and I can never pop them all.

I am definitely the type of crafter who has fifty unfinished projects going at all times. I try to change and complete one project before I move onto the next but it never lasts. I think I am at the point I need to take a bigger step and embrace my own way of doing things.

If you guessed that all supplies are PTI you are spot on! I used Summer Sunrise and Hibiscus Burst. I also used Fresh Snow to stamp the polka dots. The stamp sets I used are Beautiful Blooms (large polka dotted circle); Two for Tea; Boxes, Bags & Tags; Borders & Corners {oval}; Paper Tray (small flower); Everyday Classics; Polka Dot Basics I; and Signature Greetings.

In Bloom

Today's post features PTI's In Bloom. These cards were part of my November GSS entry.

This card also uses Fabulous Flourishes and the sentiment is from Everyday Classics. I colored the flowers and leaves with Copics that match Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding, Spring Moss, and Ripe Avocado.

Deepest Sympathy

This next card also includes Damask Designs, Background Basics: Text Style, and Borders & Corners {rectangle}. The Copics match Berry Sorbet and Ripe Avocado.

Happy Birthday to You

On this last card, I used Copics that match New Leaf, Summer Sun, and Hibiscus Burst.

Previous Guest Star Stamper Submissions

I will be posting a few of my previous PTI Guest Star Stamper submissions over the next few days. You might have already seen them in the PTI Gallery, but I thought I would post them for the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with that site.

For some reason this set reminds me of clothing. Sometimes when I am stamping I feel as though I am putting an outfit together and this was one of those occasions.  I think it has something to do with the brown border, the white trim and the rhinestones. It kind of reminds me of a shirt cuff. Project Runway here I come!!!! I used PTI’s Guidelines II, Mega Mixed Messages, Polka Dot Basics, Journaling Lines, Damask Designs, and Background Basics: Retro. I also used PTI & Lauren Meader’s My Timeless Template, Filed with Flair. All supplies, except the rhinestones, are PTI.

A Great BIG “Thank You!”

This post is waaay wordier than normal, but it needs to be.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful comments. I am very appreciative that you took the time to comment on my work. It really means a lot to me. I also say thank you to those who are now following my blog; I am humbled and flattered. Jiminy Cricket, I might even say I feel a wee bit pressured to perform!  Well, the truth be told I really didn’t want to be the only one looking at this blog ;)! I have to say that I am sporadic, so please don’t give up hope! I don’t want to bore you with the details of my life, I will put you to sleep with all the excitement, but finals are coming up and I have been far from focused this semester. Time for me to get back on track!

I would like to answer some questions that were left for me…

Here is a link to Jodi’s 20 Card Box on SCS (Lois, whew, I am glad I was able to find the link! it has been a while and I was hoping I could still find it.). I used this template to create a monogrammed card box as a birthday gift:

For Jackie, I bought the boxes I used for my Halloween treats in the craft dept. at Wal-Mart. The brand is “Best Occasions” and I found them in the bridal section. They come in clear and plain white and cost between $18-19 for 50, plus you get ribbon and tags. I thought it was a pretty good deal. Wal-Mart has some neat items in that section (Wal-Mart if you’re listening there is nothing like a corporate sponsor!!!). I found another little something there that caught my eye for a project which I have yet to complete, but I will be posting it at some future date (How’s that for a hook!!!).

Rose, I found you too! I am all about blog stalking, that for sure. Now, I need to actually start commenting to let all the creative ladies know exactly how much I stalk and appreciate their work!

Niki, thank you! I saw your link today!!!

And lastly for Nichole, thank you very, very much. You are more than an inspiration. I am so very touched by your comments.

And for you brave souls who have read on ‘till the very end, some visuals!!! Thanks again!!!!!!

Enjoy the Ride

This card is CASE’d (still not 100% sure what this means) and inspired by Nichole Heady.

As is this card! :D I say there is no need to reinvent perfection, right?

Time for Take-out Sneak Peek!

Woohooo! It’s time for a sneak peak of Papertrey Ink & Lauren Meader’s newest My Timeless Template, Time for Take-out!

Sneak Peek

I knew this template would be the perfect size to hold baby onesies and my idea for a baby shower theme took off from there. The recipient can later use the boxes to store baby’s keepsakes, such as her first pair of shoes. The smaller template version could be used as favors for shower recipients or to hold a pair of baby socks or a pacifier.

What I love most about Lauren’s template (and all her templates in general) is that as I was making the box, ideas kept popping into my head. I think the smaller template would also look nice stamped in a holiday theme and put on guest’s plate for a festive table setting.

Also, complete instructions and supply lists for my project are provided in the companion idea download that comes with the templates, which will be available for purchase on November 15th.

On My Couch...Sofa...or Davenport

Whatever you like to call that large piece of furniture in your living room, I love this PTI stamp set. I think the set brings out the interior decorator in me.

Thinkin of You 1

I used the background stamp from PTI's Men of Life to create the DP for the sentiment. it seems to be the reverse image of the chair's design. I colored a soft yellow around the lampshade for some ambiance.

Thinkin of You 2

Here I used DP I got from Archiver's as a bonus a couple of summers ago.

Chairish Your Friendship 1

For this next card, I used the background stamp from PTI's Let Freedom Ring set (also designed by Lisa Johnson) to create the plaid "fabric" and the border on the card. I think it makes a great guy get well card.
